Happy Halloween Ghosts & Ghouls!
I had the pleasure of hanging out with the munchkins tonight. Michelle took Natalie out for some trick or treating with her friend Dexter, while I hung back at the homestead, watched the twinnies and handed out candy. Last year in the Calgary house, we had more than 100 kids come to the door. Tonight, on the ring-road in Beaumont, we had a total of.....drum roll please... 19 kids. 19, I can't believe it! What happened to getting your kids dressed up for a night of fun running around town trying to see who can get the most candy by the end of the night? And then going home and dumping your pillow case onto the floor to sort it all out and trade for better things with your siblings/friends. I just don't understand it.
I am a huge holiday person, Birthdays, Valentines Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas. I love them all, I love decorating, and dressing up and spending those special days with the ones you care about. I know when I have kids I will definitely make as big of a deal of holidays for them as my parents did for us. I am so excited for Christmas to come; As my mother always said, Christmas is a season, not a day. BUT, one thing I can't stand are those people that put up their Christmas lights in October, and turn them on! There are 2 people in my condo complex that have theirs on tonight, twinkling icicle lights and all. I understand putting them up before the snowfalls when it isn't that cold. Just please do us all a favour, and wait until December 1 to turn them on!!
Anyways, enough of the venting, onto the pictures of the babes from tonight. Hope you all had a safe and Happy Halloween.
